The S&P 500 was up 1.35%.
The Nasdaq Composite added 1.53%.
Industrials led the market today.
|General Market Review
The US created a total of 916,000 jobs in March, which was better than the expected 660,000 jobs. The unemployment rate fell by 0.2 to 6%. The reopening of the services sector seems to be very close as vaccine distribution is continuing to progress well.
Many airlines, cruise lines, and casinos were in the green today due to progress and hopes of an economic reopening soon. American Airlines rose 1.5% and Carnival was up near 5%.
Google added 4% over confirmation that the company had won a court ruling over not infringing Oracle’s Java software and will be using SAP SE ADR from now on. SAP SE was up close to 5% today.
